      How much or how little beef can I order?

      Customers may order a whole, half or quarter. We can divide a beef into thirds if we have a group that wants to do this. On their own, some customers have divided their quarter with friends and neighbors. We leave that up to you. The cost per pound is $1.80 on the hoof plus processing. How much or how little pork can I order?

      A whole hog live weight is approximately 270 - 320 pounds, the hanging weight is approximately 216 - 250 pounds, and the cut weight of a whole hog is approximately 195 - 220 pounds. Customers may order a whole or half hog. The cost per pound is $1.09 on the hoof plus processing. You may also order from our Combo Pork Specials by clicking HERE.


How do I place my order?

      Please email the farm at sales@cedarruncattle.com or call Lew or Marilyn Dodd at 410-556-6728. Include your name, address, phone number and desired amount of beef (whole, half or quarter). Your processing requests will be obtained and a $50.00 deposit will be required, and is non-refundable.


How do I pay?

We will accept payments by cash, check, VISA and Master Card.

 

The following is an order example:

The beef live weight is approximately 1300 - 1500 lbs.
The hanging weight is approximately 700 - 900 lbs.
(the hanging weight is the beef live weight minus hide, head and stomach contents)

The cut weight is approximately 525 - 640 lbs. divided by 4  =  130 - 160 lbs per quarter
(the cut weight is the final amount of meat left after bones are trimmed and fat is removed based on personal preference)
